Look at the Lilies (God Holds My Tomorrow) — I Don't Have to Worry 🌿 What if the peace you are praying for does not begin when tomorrow makes sense, but when you remember Who is already there? “Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow.” — Matthew 6:28 “In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.” — Psalm 4:8 Also inspired by Matthew 6:25–34 and God's daily provision of manna in Exodus 16. ✨ Sometimes the hardest battles are the ones we fight against a day that has not arrived. In the silence of an ordinary room, a racing heart can turn a small uncertainty into a thousand frightening possibilities. We try to rehearse every conversation, predict every loss, and carry the weight of a future we cannot see. But Jesus points us toward something unexpected: lilies growing in a field. They do not spend the night deciding how to bloom. They are cared for by the Father who knows what they need. In the wilderness, manna was given one day at a time; yesterday's gathering could not replace today's trust. Grace arrives where we are, not where our fears have carried us. Perhaps you cannot solve tomorrow tonight. You were never asked to. The One who meets you in this moment is not waiting to discover what the next day holds. He will be faithful there, just as He is faithful here. You can release what you cannot control without giving up hope. You can close your eyes without knowing every answer. And you can breathe again. 🙏 A PRAYER Lord Jesus, You see the thoughts that keep returning when the world is quiet. You know every fear I cannot explain. Forgive me for trying to carry tomorrow before it comes. Teach my heart to receive today's grace. When I reach for control, remind me of the lilies and of Your gentle hand. Hold me through this night, guide me into the morning, and fill my heart with Your peace. My tomorrow belongs to You. Amen. 💬 If this prayer speaks to you, share one worry you are placing in Jesus' hands today, or simply write “My tomorrow is in Your hands.” May we encourage one another in faith. Manna falling from the sky Was enough for just one day Teaching this impatient heart How to walk the quiet way I don't have to borrow pain From a storm that isn't here For the God who never fails Always keeps His promise near Then I hear Your gentle voice Whispering into the cold: “Look at lilies in the field, I have got your life to hold!” Take the panic from my chest For tomorrow’s in Your hand In Your grace I find my rest Walking through this weary land The unknown will not defeat me Nor the worries of the way He who walks with me right now Is already in that day! I surrender all control! Letting go of every strain! My tomorrow and my soul Rest inside Your gentle reign! There's no crisis in the sky! There's no mountain You can't climb! Since my Jesus is in charge, Everything will be on time! Take the panic from my chest For tomorrow’s in Your hand In Your grace I find my rest Walking through this weary land The unknown will not defeat me Nor the worries of the way He who walks with me right now Is already in that day! Now my lungs can breathe again Closing up my eyes in peace Held inside Your gentle arms Where the racing terrors cease My tomorrow has a Lord I will leave the heavy strain Dropping burdens on the floor Free from all the phantom pain #ChristianWorship #GospelMusic #JesusChrist #FaithOverFear #ChristianMusic #WorshipSong
