[4K] Le Pays des Contes de Fées at Disneyland Paris, join us for a ride on the Storybook Land Canal Boats through Fantasyland, sailing past miniature Disney worlds from Frozen, Winnie the Pooh, Tangled, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and Up.    / @planitpark   Le Pays des Contes de Fées, meaning The Land of Fairy Tales and commonly known in English as Storybook Land Canal Boats, is a boat ride located in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park. The attraction opened on 3rd April 1994 and was developed by Intamin, taking guests along a winding waterway surrounded by detailed miniature landscapes, buildings and locations inspired by Disney films, animation and classic stories. The attraction received a major refurbishment for its 30th anniversary in 2024, introducing several new scenes while updating existing parts of the miniature landscape. Hundred Acre Wood and Winnie the Pooh's house replaced the former gingerbread house, while a new Frozen scene featuring the North Mountain, Elsa's Ice Palace and Wandering Oaken's Trading Post and Sauna replaced the Peter and the Wolf landscape. Carl Fredricksen's house floating above Paradise Falls from Pixar's Up replaced the former Return to Oz scene. Other scenes around Le Pays des Contes de Fées include the dwarfs' diamond mine and cottage from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Rapunzel's tower from Tangled, The Old Mill, Prince Eric's seaside castle from The Little Mermaid, Mount Olympus from Fantasia, Night on Bald Mountain, the Cave of Wonders from Aladdin, The Sword in the Stone and Belle's village and the Beast's castle from Beauty and the Beast. Each area uses miniature buildings, landscaping, lighting and music to recreate its story on a small scale. Unlike Storybook Land Canal Boats at Disneyland in California, the Disneyland Paris boats do not have an onboard guide. The colourful boats travel automatically along the waterway and pass directly through the enormous Cave of Wonders from Aladdin before continuing through the second half of the attraction. Le Pays des Contes de Fées is located towards the rear of Fantasyland alongside Casey Jr. - le Petit Train du Cirque. Fantasyland surrounds Sleeping Beauty Castle and includes attractions such as Peter Pan's Flight, Alice's Curious Labyrinth, Mad Hatter's Tea Cups, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains, Les Voyages de Pinocchio and "it's a small world". Disneyland Park opened on 12th April 1992 as Euro Disneyland and is the original theme park at Disneyland Paris. Its five themed lands are Main Street, U.S.A., Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland and Discoveryland, with Sleeping Beauty Castle standing at the centre of the park. Disneyland Paris is located in Chessy, around 32 km east of Paris, and includes Disneyland Park, Disney Adventure World, Disney Village and the Disney Hotels. The resort entered a major new period in 2026 with the transformation of its second park into Disney Adventure World and the opening of World of Frozen, Adventure Way and Adventure Bay.
