Pai to Ban Rak Thai 🇹🇭 | Mae Hong Son Hidden Tea Village(Tham Lod Cave & Ban Jabo) 拜縣到愛泰村｜湄宏順環線隱藏茶村

🎬 Part 3 of our Mae Hong Son Loop Slow Travel Series After a few slow days in Pai, we continued our journey deeper into the mountains of Northern Thailand — toward the lakeside village of Ban Rak Thai. The road from Pai to Ban Rak Thai winds through some of the most beautiful landscapes along the Mae Hong Son Loop. Along the way, we stopped at Nam Lod Cave( or Tham Lod Cave) , one of the most fascinating cave systems in Northern Thailand, and visited the mountain village of Ban Jabo, known for its simple noodle shops with sweeping valley views. Ban Rak Thai is a unique village founded by Yunnan Chinese settlers decades ago. Sitting right along the Thailand–Myanmar border, the village is known for its peaceful lake, traditional Yunnan-style houses, and tea plantations surrounding the hills. In this video, we share the slow journey from Pai to Ban Rak Thai, exploring scenic mountain roads, small local villages, and quiet moments along the Mae Hong Son Loop. Sometimes the best parts of a road trip aren't on the map. We stopped at a wildlife sanctuary for a quick break and met a group of stray dogs waiting in the parking lot. We couldn't stop thinking about them as we drove away, so we took a 50 minute detour to make sure they had a good meal. It delayed our arrival at Ban Rak Thai, but it was the best decision of the day.
