Day 7 Namibia Red Dune Kalahari Recce Tour

We set off onto those beautiful Kalahari roads where the landscape seems to stretch forever. Red earth, golden grass, ancient camel thorn trees and endless open skies made every kilometre feel like another page in the story of the Namibian interior. Our route took us through Hoachanas, a place rich in history and surrounded by the raw beauty of the Kalahari. From there we continued towards Bitterwasser Lodge, where the combination of wide-open spaces, wildlife and classic Namibian hospitality reminded us once again why travelling these remote roads is so special. And then came one of those unforgettable moments that make an overlanding adventure what it is — a roadside braai. 🔥🥩 No fancy restaurant. No reservations. Just good people, a fire, meat on the grid, the smell of smoke in the Kalahari air and the road stretching away behind us. Sometimes the simplest meals become the memories we treasure most. As the afternoon faded, we made our way towards Kalahariland, where we settled into camp beneath the enormous Namibian sky. The evening brought that unmistakable Kalahari feeling — quiet, peaceful and wonderfully remote. Day 7 wasn't about rushing from one attraction to the next. It was about the road, the people, the landscape, the fire and the freedom of travelling through Namibia on your own terms. Hoachanas → Bitterwasser → roadside braai → Kalahariland.
