Is *any takeaway a good takeaway* if you pair it with the right release pattern? In this video, I debunk a Fizzo Golf claim and explain why the first *12–18 inches of the golf swing* matter so much—and why there is a proper takeaway sequence that gives you the best chance to make a consistent swing. If you want a better **backswing, swing plane, contact, and consistency**, this lesson will help you understand why the takeaway is not random and why trying to “match” a bad takeaway with a later compensation is a poor way to build a golf swing. The takeaway is the first part of the swing for a reason. Done properly, it organizes the club, arms, shoulders, and body in a sequence that sets up everything that follows. Done poorly, it creates problems that usually have to be fixed later with timing, rerouting, or manipulation. That is why so many high-level players rehearse the takeaway in their *pre-shot routines* and while practicing. They are not rehearsing it because any takeaway works. They are rehearsing it because the first *12–18 inches* help establish the structure and direction of the entire backswing. *In this video, we cover:* why *any takeaway is not a good takeaway* the proper mechanics and sequence of the takeaway why the first *12–18 inches* matter so much how the takeaway helps establish the correct backswing why a bad takeaway creates compensations later why matching a bad takeaway to a “release pattern” is poor instruction why tour professionals rehearse the takeaway so often how a proper takeaway helps create better contact and more consistency Good golf instruction should put you in the best position to make a good swing—not teach you how to compensate for a bad one. *Helpful Links:* 👉 Subscribe to Swing Science:    / @egofree-golf-swing-science   👉 14 Day Golf Fundamentals: https://14daygolffundamentals.com/14d...
