History: This helicopter, when registered to the West German Bundeswehr as 84+34 was built in July 1973, and operated by HFlgRgt 35 out of Mendig in Rheinland-Pfalz.
She then received her first special markings to commemorate 500.000hrs of flight by the CH-53G type.
Transferred to the mTrspHubschrRgt 15 based at Rheine Bentlage in Nordrhein Westfahlen from 2004.
Transferred from HEER to Luftwaffe and operated by the HSG 64 from July 1, 2012. This makes it the first CH-53 affected by the new Bundeswehr restructuring.
Repainted between April and May 2026 in a special scheme to commemorating the 70th anniversary of the German Luftwaffe (1956–2026).
In this video, 84+34 was the highlight at the open house (Tag der offenen Tür) in Rheine-Eschendorf on August 30, 2026. My thanks go out to Pico and the helicopter crew, without whom this video would not have been possible.
Thank you for watching. I am happy to hear your opinion and look forward to your like 👍 If you don’t want to miss out on other helicopters, be sure to subscribe.

It is my aim to prepare a historical data sheet of any helicopters ever produced since 1946 till today, except for home builds and microlights. It includes the manufacturer's construction / serial number (MSN), current and past registration, type and upgrades of version, year of construction, current location, country, owner/operator, and operator's address/ contact details when wanted.
To make this database comprehensive, I am always on the lookout for more helicopter enthusiasts worldwide hew will let me display their helicopter photographs including their names for copyright no matter of quality. In exchange for helicopter photographs, the photographer gets access to my helicopter database which contains more than 108.000 different helicopters. If interested, please send me an email.
