18 easy Mexican Spanish conversations for beginners at the doctor and the pharmacy, with the English translation under every line: Spanish listening practice at natural speed, then shadowing. Level A1-A2.
In this video: booking an appointment by phone, the little doctor's office next to the pharmacy, the flu, when the street tacos make you sick, the prescription, generic or brand name, altitude sickness in Mexico City, an allergy, mosquito bites, a toothache, the optician, a blood test, a twisted ankle, the ER, the pharmacy at night, the flu shot, chicken soup with chamomile tea and feeling better.
How this video works:
Part 1 (0:00): all 18 conversations at natural speed. Just listen, with the English under every line.
Part 2 (9:50): shadowing. The same 18 conversations again, and after every line there is a pause as long as the line, with a red YOUR TURN. Say the line out loud in that pause.
Listening first and speaking second is the fastest way to stop translating in your head. Part 2 also works with the screen off.
