16 simple Mexican Spanish conversations for beginners at work, with the English translation under every line: Spanish listening practice at natural speed, then shadowing. Level A1-A2. In this video: a job interview, the first day at the office, arriving late because the Metrobús was packed, the team meeting, a computer that won't turn on, the set lunch at a fonda, an important email from the boss, a client on the phone, a paper jam in the printer, asking for a day off, working from home, a birthday cake at the office, a nervous presentation, too much work, good news and a raise, and finally Friday. How this video works: Part 1 (0:00): all 16 conversations at natural speed. Follow the script on the right: the line being read lights up, and the colours show each noun's gender (masculine blue, feminine pink). Part 2 (10:12): shadowing. The same 16 conversations again, and after every line there is a pause with a gold YOUR TURN bar. Say the line out loud in that pause. This is the Spanish people really use at work in Mexico: la junta (the meeting), la computadora (the computer), la comida corrida (the set lunch), ahorita (right now) and ¡Órale! (sure, why not!).
