SoS Mixcast - July 2015 (Nausika, Brockie, Spirit)

Half way mark for the Signalsofsound.com July mixcast. Darker elements a plenty here as we here new releases from Spirit and Nausika (BMTM) sandwiching an old classic - Brockies - Turntable 1 (VIP) Image thanks to instagram @rearle Spirit - Life Goes On - https://blumarten.bandcamp.com/album/... Brockie - Turntable 1 (VIP) (Vinyl copy - check beatport) Nausika - Dominion - https://blumarten.bandcamp.com/album/... Life Goes On According to folks this has been around for a while, if so I missed it. So it’s with much thanks again that I thank Blu Mar Ten for bringing me new music. Life Goes on is a nervous, frantic work, featuring a smasher of an acid bassline. Brockie - Turntable 1 (VIP) Turn of the millienium roller, featuring minimalist drum workings and a dangerously deep bassline. This VIP takes the bassline to new heights, with so much hypontic feeling to it its impossible not to look for a rewind. Dominion Dominion really has that special something. A dark, stripped back piece with creeping wooden percussive elements and a deep underpinning bassline. Dominion escalates progressively as a haunting vocal begs never to be held down. Perfect for a little breakdown and lots of subtle variation to pick the ears up.
