In this Season 1 episode, Muriel is gardening when she feeds a hungry rabbit, unaware that a burrowing creature is racing toward her. The beast—a savage weremole—snatches the rabbit and bites Muriel’s hand when she reaches into the hole. Courage and Eustace rush her to Dr. Vindaloo, who unhelpfully insists she should “keep soaking it.” That night, under the full moon, Muriel transforms into a ferocious weremole, terrifying Courage and attacking Dr. Vindaloo before dragging him under the house. With Eustace refusing to help, Courage consults the computer, learning that anyone bitten by a weremole becomes one and that the cure requires pulling a hair from the original creature. Courage disguises himself as a rabbit to lure the weremole, narrowly escaping its attacks before finally obtaining the needed hair.
