Grandpa's Pickup｜Nostalgic Country Song About Grandpa's Old Truck

Faded blue paint, an AM radio, and a peppermint from grandpa. A nostalgic country song about riding in grandpa's old pickup — and now teaching the next generation. For anyone who misses a grandparent and the open road. ▼歌詞 Faded blue paint and a dent on the side Bench seat cracked from a thousand rides He'd hand me a peppermint, turn the key Say "Hold on tight, it's just you and me" Windows rolled down on a gravel road Didn't matter where we were going In grandpa's pickup, rattling along AM radio and a half-sung song He let me steer when the road was straight Taught me patience at the feed store gate Never fast, but it always got us there Grandpa's pickup and the open air Bale of hay and a dog in the back Thermos of coffee, a lunch in a sack He waved at every truck that passed us by Knew every name and he knew why Said a man is measured by the hands he shakes Not the money that he makes In grandpa's pickup, rattling along AM radio and a half-sung song He let me steer when the road was straight Taught me patience at the feed store gate Never fast, but it always got us there Grandpa's pickup and the open air Now the keys hang heavy on my chain Engine coughs a little in the rain But I fixed the radio, I patched the seat Got a little one riding next to me In grandpa's pickup, rattling along AM radio and that same old song I let her steer when the road is straight Teach her patience at the feed store gate Never fast, but it always gets us there Grandpa's pickup and the open air Hold on tight It's just you and me 🎵 Haru Mist の曲は Apple Music・Spotify などで配信しています。 ※この曲はAI（Suno）を使って制作しています。 (Haru Mist songs are available on Apple Music, Spotify and more.
