Two Plates Again｜Empty Nest Love Song for Couples (Country)

The kids are grown, the house is quiet, and it's two plates again. A tender country waltz about a couple finding each other after the children leave home. For empty nesters, anniversaries, and long marriages. ▼歌詞 The house got quiet when the last car pulled away Left a poster on the wall and a jacket by the gate You stood in the doorway, I stood in the hall Funny how a home can feel so big and small We used to need a table with a leaf in the middle Now the chairs just sit there waiting a little It's two plates again, just me and you Like the summer we were twenty-two We raised them right, we let them fly Now it's our turn to find the why Pass the salt, hold my hand It's two plates again You found that old record we danced to in the rain I found the dress you wore, you said it still remains We're slower on the steps, a little grey above the ears But I still get nervous when you're near Kids call on Sundays, tell us not to worry We laugh and tell them we're in no hurry It's two plates again, just me and you Like the summer we were twenty-two We raised them right, we let them fly Now it's our turn to find the why Pass the salt, hold my hand It's two plates again Some nights I miss the noise, the slamming of the screen The bikes out on the lawn and all the in-between But then you hum that tune and you pull me close to you And I remember who we were before we grew It's two plates again, just me and you Like the summer we were twenty-two We raised them right, we let them fly Now it's our turn, you and I Pass the salt, hold my hand It's two plates again Just me and you Two plates again 🎵 Haru Mist の曲は Apple Music・Spotify などで配信しています。 ※この曲はAI（Suno）を使って制作しています。 (Haru Mist songs are available on Apple Music, Spotify and more.
