The drive itself is nothing short of breathtaking. Following the roaring Baspa River, crossing narrow mountain roads, passing through apple orchards, pine forests, and dramatic Himalayan landscapes, every turn reveals a new postcard-worthy view. Reaching Chitkul feels surreal. Nestled at an altitude of around 11,300 ft, this tiny Himalayan village welcomes us with snow-capped peaks, wooden houses, crystal-clear mountain air, and a peaceful atmosphere that is hard to describe in words. We spend the night here, soaking in the silence and beauty of one of India's most spectacular villages. The next morning, after exploring every corner of Chitkul and creating memories that will stay with me forever, we begin another unforgettable drive towards Kalpa—the jewel of Kinnaur. As the mighty Kinner Kailash Range slowly appears on the horizon, it's impossible not to fall in love with the beauty of Himachal Pradesh all over again. This episode is filled with mesmerizing landscapes, unforgettable roads, local culture, mountain life, and moments that remind us why the journey is always more beautiful than the destination.
