R Class steam locomotive 50th anniversary (R707, R711, R761 and K183)

On 7 October 2001, the 50th anniversary of R Class steam locomotives in Victoria was celebrated in a spectacular way. Running from Spencer Street Station in Melbourne to Seymour in central Victoria, this special ran a double headed parallel run on the down trip, and the return train was a quadruple header.
