This is a Japan travel vlog exploring Yanagawa, a nostalgic water town in southern Fukuoka, Kyushu. In this video, I take a relaxing summer journey through rural Japan, discovering old town streets, peaceful canals, local food, and beautiful countryside scenery. I started in Yanagawa, a charming town known for its traditional streets and canal boat rides. I visited Mihashira Shrine, where beautiful wind chimes created a peaceful Japanese summer atmosphere. For lunch, I stopped at Tachibana Udon, a popular local restaurant, and enjoyed a delicious bowl of udon. I also watched Yanagawa’s famous canal boat ride, where boatmen guide their donkobune through the canals, singing songs and even performing an impressive jump from a bridge back into the boat. The boatman called it a "Japanese ninja" jump! After exploring Yanagawa, I took a peaceful walk through the rice fields. The green countryside, summer sky, and gentle breeze made it feel like time had slowed down. To end the journey, I visited Senkakuji Temple in Sasaguri, also known as the "Owl Temple." The tunnel of wind chimes and cute owl statues made it a perfect place to finish this nostalgic summer trip through rural Japan.
