FLORIDA FLOODING DISASTER — 15+ Inches of Rain Swamp Palm Bay & Melbourne Overnight, Cars Sinking!

A stalled storm system dumped more than 15 inches of rain on parts of Brevard County, Florida, overnight into Monday, November 2, 2026. The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Emergency for Palm Bay, West Melbourne and Grant-Valkaria. Palm Bay urged residents to shelter in place as vehicles became stranded, and some sank, in floodwater. A water main break cut service to some neighborhoods. Roads also flooded in West Melbourne, Titusville and Satellite Beach. Brevard Public Schools, the courts, college campuses and city halls closed. No casualties have been reported.
