2. Lamb Was Born

[Verse 1] At the garden gate, we broke the trust Dust on our hands, and the blame on us Fruit in the mouth, but the heart grew thin One wrong yes let the whole dark in Cain with the rage, flood in the sky Babel built tall, still we split and lied Kings on the throne with a crooked hand Every good gift slipped through sand Law on the stone, but our feet stayed raw Smoke in the tent and a trembling awe Sacrifice blood on the altar screen Still the distance sat in between [Pre-Chorus] Then You moved in the flame Then You called us by name Through the blood, through the pain You were making a way [Chorus] New mercy in the morning New promise always for me The veil is torn, the debt is gone We sing because the Son came home New mercy in the morning New promise always for me (hallelujah) (hallelujah) We live because the Lamb was born [Verse 2] Rome on the roads, and the poor got low Sick by the pool where the rivers flow Tax man counting what the hands could spare Pride in the streets and a cold hard stare Then came a voice by the Jordan bank Water and dust and a prophet rank He said, "Repent," and the people ran Hope got close in the shape of a man Bread in the hands of the breaking King Storms went still when He spoke that thing Blind got sight and the lame got stride Love with scars walked side by side They took the frame, they laughed, they lied Pierced His hands and they pierced His side Sky went black at the sixth-hour cry Still He stayed till the work was dry [Pre-Chorus] Then the grave got hit And the stone got split What was sealed in the dark Could not stay there [Chorus] New mercy in the morning New promise always for me The veil is torn, the debt is gone We sing because the Son came home New mercy in the morning New promise always for me (hallelujah) (hallelujah) We live because the Lamb was born [Bridge] Now I don't come by my own clean hands I come by the blood, I come as I am Not by a ladder, not by a wage But by the cross and the empty cage Law couldn't finish what grace began So You wrote our names in a better plan From the throne to the tomb to the rising light You made dead hearts live in the Father's sight [Chorus] New mercy in the morning New promise always for me The veil is torn, the debt is gone We sing because the Son came home New mercy in the morning New promise always for me (hallelujah) (hallelujah) We live because the Lamb was born #worshipmusic #trapworship #worshiprap #trapgospel2026 #gospelmusic
