2. Excel

Ask any VBA learner what they struggle with the most, and "Arrays" will easily top the chart. Even for those who are comfortable with macros and can handle cells or sheets perfectly fine, an overwhelming number of people still say, "Arrays are just too difficult to wrap my head around." I totally get it—unlike physical cells or sheets, arrays exist entirely in a conceptual, invisible world.
On top of that, when you handle arrays in Excel VBA, you are forced to deal with three absolute, non-negotiable rules:
1. Array indexing starts at 0 in the VBA world, but Excel ranges start at 1.
2. The grid system in the Excel world is fundamentally based on 2D arrays.
3. You must perfectly match the size of the destination cell range to the size of your array.
These are the hardcoded rules of the game. Don't waste time asking "why?"—you just have to swallow it and move on.
Once you master writing arrays directly to cell ranges, it unlocks massive benefits for your workflow. People always say, "Dumping an array to a range all at once is fast," and it’s 100% true. The performance boost is so insane it'll put a smile on your face. Plus, there are tons of real-world scenarios where you’ll want to drop dynamic array functions (like FILTER or UNIQUE) into your macro and output the results directly onto a sheet.
The wall standing in the way of building those high-level macros is this exact process: writing arrays to cell ranges. In this video, we’ll break down everything from the core fundamental rules to practical, real-world examples. Let's conquer this wall together!
