He came back from a decade on the Spanish coast, presented himself to a Pembrokeshire council as homeless, and was given a flat in one of the prettiest seaside towns in Wales. Then he started disappearing for months at a time.
A council fraud officer got suspicious, dug into the records, and found a Spanish address going back to 2001. The DWP's Abroad Fraud Team took it from there - and Spanish officials found a property registered in his name near Marbella. Anyone with assets over the threshold does not qualify for the benefits he had been drawing for years.
Also in this episode: a twelve-year-old with Down's syndrome who found her sport on the back of a riding-school pony and ended up competing at a national dressage championship; a baseball coach filmed sprinting, batting and throwing on a field named after him, while claiming he could not lift his arms; and the new law that made subletting a council flat a criminal offence.
