This Twisted Family Secret Created a Mass Shooter

Thomas Hamilton committed the deadliest mass shooting in British history on March 13, 1996, when he entered Dunblane Primary School and ended the lives of 16 innocent children and their dedicated teacher. Decades later, expert criminologists and investigative reporters re-examine the early life, psychological red flags, and disturbing home dynamic that transformed an isolated outcast into a monster. Raised in a household filled with secret lies and raised by a controlling relative widely called the mother from hell, Hamilton spent his entire life believing his biological mother was actually his sister. When the truth finally surfaced, feelings of severe betrayal and humiliation took hold. After being cast out from local scouting groups due to alarming behavior, he opened unregulated boys' clubs, developing a dangerous fixation with firearms and a toxic resentment toward his local community. This documentary tracks his descent into complete paranoia, detailing his final ordinary evening visiting his birth mother right before carrying out a calculated, catastrophic act of revenge that forever changed gun laws and altered a small Scottish town for generations. 00:00:00 Introduction 00:02:45 Twisted Family Secrets 00:06:20 Outcast in School and Scouts Rejection 00:10:40 Unregulated Boys Clubs and Red Flags 00:15:20 Escalating Paranoia and Gun Obsession 00:19:40 The Final Night with His Mother 00:22:15 The Dunblane Primary School Massacre 00:25:30 Psychological Analysis and Legacy Absolute Crime is your go-to channel for the best crime documentaries.
