Dallas 10 Biggest Megaprojects Under Construction in 2027 — America’s Fastest-Growing Metro

North Texas added more than 200,000 people last year, and four of the five fastest-growing cities in America are Dallas suburbs. Yet Dallas County itself got smaller. The money is following that split, flowing to the open land at the region’s edges while the old core spends billions to keep its place. This countdown ranks the 10 biggest projects under construction around Dallas heading into 2027, by price. It starts with a 250-acre river park decades in the making and moves through a downtown freeway rebuild that nearly tripled in cost, Fort Worth’s long-promised Panther Island and a data center campus drawing as much power as a small city. Further up the list are a new DFW Airport terminal assembled from giant prefabricated modules and a children’s hospital nearly twice the size of AT&T Stadium. At number 1 sits a chip-making site an hour north of the city, planned at up to 40 billion dollars, more than the other nine combined. #MegaScale #Dallas #DFW #NorthTexas #Megaprojects #Infrastructure #Construction #Texas #Frisco #FortWorth
