Day 11 is the ultimate road trip. We leave Lijiang to drive the legendary road to Shangri-La, stopping at the roaring Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hu Tiao Xia) and the stunning "White Water Terraces" of Baishuitai. The climb to the highlands begins. We witness the raw power of the Jinsha River at Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the deepest canyons in the world. Then, we take a detour to Baishuitai, the birthplace of the Naxi Dongba culture, known for its incredible turquoise limestone terraces that look just like Pamukkale.
