MUMINA BONAYA DONATES SEWING MACHINES TO BOOST TRAINING AT MERTI VOCATIONAL CENTRE

The number of students enrolling at Merti Technical College is expected to increase further after the office of the Women’s Representative, Mumina Bonaya, donated sewing machines to the institution. The donation was received by Galgalo Halakhe, the manager of Merti Vocational Training Centre. Dr. Happi Adan, the Director of Vocational Training in the Isiolo County Government, and his deputy Ali Godana praised the Women Representative’s office, celebrating the cooperation between Mumina Bonaya’s office and the government of Governor Guyo. Mohamed Kurubo and Abdia Abdi, who oversee the Ngaaf Fund, visited Mumina’s office and said this is an important step towards ensuring that youth and women are able to join technical colleges and acquire skills that will empower them. Parents who witnessed the handover of the equipment by Mumina Bonaya’s office thanked her office, saying the donation will help both them and their children access training.
