Catching and cooking butter clams from Bodega Bay, California. In this video, we head out to the Sonoma Coast to dig for butter clams in Bodega Bay, then bring them back and cook them fresh. Butter clams are one of the classic Pacific Coast clams, with thick shells, firm meat, and a rich flavor that works great steamed, chopped, or cooked into a simple seafood dish. We go through the full trip from finding clam beds, digging in the mud and sand, cleaning the clams, and cooking them up after a day on the coast. Bodega Bay has some of the best clamming scenery in California, and this trip shows why harvesting your own seafood makes the meal taste even better. Always check current California Department of Fish and Wildlife regulations, size limits, bag limits, and local health advisories before harvesting shellfish. #ButterClams #BodegaBay #CaliforniaClamming #ClamDigging #CatchAndCook #CaliforniaFishing #SonomaCoast #ForagingCalifornia #SeafoodCatchAndCook #FishingCalifornia #Clamming #WildSeafood #CoastalForaging #FishScout
