EPCOT Food & Wine Festival 2026 Opening Day Did NOT Go as Planned | Walt Disney World

It’s opening day of the 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, and I’m back at EPCOT to see what Disney has in store for the festival’s 30th anniversary! Day 1 didn’t go quite according to plan. Between spilling coffee all over my white shirt before I even made it into EPCOT and eventually getting caught in one of those massive Florida downpours, Mother Nature had some ideas of her own for this video. But that’s part of a Disney day! Rather than trying to eat my way through the entire festival in one visit, I’m taking my time with Food & Wine this year. I tried three different items, explored World Showcase, checked out what’s new for 2026, and got my first taste of a festival I’ll be returning to several times over the next few months. I’ll also go over some of the festival-favorite marketplaces that won’t open until later in the festival—something you’ll definitely want to know if you’re planning an early Food & Wine visit. And because apparently I can’t walk around Disney without getting a little philosophical, I stop at Spaceship Earth to continue the conversation I started at Magic Kingdom: How does Walt Disney World keep moving forward while still preserving the history and nostalgia that connects generations of Disney fans?
