Quiz Syukudai wo Wasuremashita Arcade

The game is presented as a board-style quiz experience in which a young adult couple, while driving, encounters the scientist Dr. Tenma. He suddenly appears and uses his technology to regress them into elementary-school children wearing randoseru backpacks. To return to their original ages, they must complete a series of quizzes based on their childhood era. At the beginning of the game, the player enters a birth date. The questions that follow are drawn from the corresponding childhood period, with the available material covering eras up to Shōwa 60 (1985). This system reinforces the game's central “return to childhood” premise. Progression takes place across seven stages on a sugoroku-style game board. During the first six stages, the two child protagonists encounter and compete against other children from the same era. Players advance along the board by answering quiz questions correctly, creating a race-like competition against the rival students. Questions are presented as five-choice quizzes covering subjects such as sports, entertainment, and contemporary events from the selected era. Correct answers move the player farther along the board, while incorrect answers result in lost lives or reduced progress. Bonus stages periodically interrupt the main board-game progression and take the form of festival-style mini-games. These include kujibiki lottery draws and frog races. Successful results can award extra lives or reduce the number of answer choices on subsequent questions from five to three or four, giving the player an advantage in later stages. The stages progress through different seasons or calendar periods, further reinforcing the game's nostalgic childhood theme. The seventh and final stage is a direct confrontation with Dr. Tenma, the scientist responsible for regressing the protagonists. He appears as a theatrical, cape-wearing mad-scientist character whose silhouette has a vaguely Dracula-like appearance. Defeating Dr. Tenma in the final quiz allows the couple to reverse the regression and return to their adult forms. Continues are effectively unlimited during standard play.
