Blind and Taking on Kilimanjaro | My Journey for Angel Welfare

But the reason for this journey began long before the mountain. On my visits to Kenya and Uganda with Angel Welfare and Education Trust, I met people whose lives and stories have stayed with me. Children travelling for water. Families working to meet their most basic needs. And people welcoming us with a warmth you don't need sight to recognise. Seeing the charity's work first-hand is what made me want to keep contributing. Now I'm taking on this challenge with a team that includes my son, who will also be my guide and support. It's a chance to spend time together and raise funds for a cause that means a great deal to me. In this conversation with Betty, my AI co-host, I share why I'm going, the memories that shaped that decision, how I've been preparing, and what I'm looking forward to.
