Demystifying AI in Practice: Community Awareness and Climate Intelligence in Kaduna State

What does it take to make AI practical, accessible and relevant to communities? Since the launch of AyeMọlẹ AI in July 2025, we have continued to ask an important question: How do we get AyeMọlẹ AI to the people who need it most? That question led to the Youth Community Climate Intelligence Ambassadors, an approach designed to bring climate intelligence closer to young people and communities by building on the digital tools and platforms they already use. Through Demystifying AI in Practice, young people explored AI beyond the hype and theory, engaging with practical applications and discovering how they could use technology to learn, access climate information and contribute to solving problems in their communities. This documentary captures that journey, the conversations, experiences and people working to make AI more understandable, accessible and useful at the community level. The first iteration of this work was supported under the AI for CSOs Programme by the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) AI Community of Practice through the Nigeria AI Collective.
