Inside Omaha Volleyball: Newcomers, Culture and a $67.5M Facility Investment | State of Volleyball

Omaha volleyball is building momentum heading into Summit League play. 🏐 Head coach Matt Buttermore joins us to discuss the Mavericks’ early-season performances, the team’s culture, and the players making an impact — from returners like Madi Corf to newcomers such as Lara Maric and freshman Dara Obeid. But that’s not all. Coach Buttermore also talks about Omaha Athletics’ $67.5 million facility investment, how NCAA changes are affecting recruiting, and why volleyball continues to grow across Nebraska. Watch the full interview and get an inside look at the Mavericks as conference play approaches. “State of Volleyball” goes beyond the scores to explore the athletes, coaches, stories and communities behind Nebraska’s passion for volleyball. New episodes will stream live monthly (on the 3rd Thursday of every month) through May 2027, with collegiate volleyball taking center stage during the first half of the season and professional volleyball coverage joining the series in the spring. 🎤 About the Host: Ana Bellinghausen is the Digital Director at Hurrdat Sports and has covered volleyball as a reporter, color commentator and play-by-play announcer for BTN+, Big East Digital Network, CBS Sports Network, ESPN+, FS2 and Nebraska Public Media.
