A tonkatsu restaurant with over 50 years of history, located along Yanagi-dori. Apparently, it’s a hidden gem among tonkatsu enthusiasts. In short, it’s absolutely delicious! The owner is meticulous not only about the ingredients but also the cooking methods. It’s a fair-minded restaurant: if you order a large portion, they increase the quantity of everything—not just the rice, but the cutlet and the egg as well. The sauce for the katsu-don is authentic, made with noodle broth just like you’d find at a soba restaurant. The cutlet is thick, crispy, and juicy. But it’s also incredibly tender, letting you savor the pork’s natural fat. The pork miso soup is also among the best I’ve ever had! It’s packed with ingredients, each cut into generous pieces.
