After the damage to the Kharif crops, the Rabi season is also in danger. The moisture stored in the soil after the monsoon is important for sowing Rabi crops; however, the report states that the soil moisture in many areas this year is lower than the decade average. In addition, the deficit in rainfall in September and the increase in temperature have put further pressure on the soil moisture. Gram, jowar and other Rabi crops are likely to be affected in the major dryland areas of the country. Therefore, let's know what are the challenges facing this year's Rabi season in major Rabi producing states including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
