Hiroshima with a Local Guide 🇯🇵 | Peace Park, Orizuru Tower & Okonomiyaki

A memorable day in Hiroshima, exploring with a lovely local volunteer guide who generously shared her time and knowledge with us. We visited Peace Memorial Park and the Peace Memorial Museum, and saw the Atomic Bomb Dome—a moving opportunity to reflect on Hiroshima’s history and its message of peace. Our guide also took us to a local restaurant for Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, delicious savoury pancakes! Then we visited Orizuru Tower for rooftop views over Hiroshima and Peace Park. We folded origami cranes and dropped them into the glass Orizuru Wall as wishes for peace, before coming down the building’s spiral slide.
