A Thunderstorm from a Porch for Sleep | 3 Hours, Black Screen

Three hours of rain and thunder for sleeping, with the screen going dark and staying dark. For anyone who wants the storm and not the light from the phone. The picture is only there at the beginning — a lit veranda in the rain, held for two minutes so a browse preview has something to show, then three quarters of a minute of fading. From two minutes forty-five on there is nothing to see at all. What carries the rest of it is weather. Rain runs the whole way without a break. The thunder comes in rolls, usually less than a minute apart, with rain between them, and each roll is louder than the rain, so this is not three flat hours. Four field recordings under open licences make it up, two of rain and two of a thunderstorm. Each is about an hour long and comes round about three times, every one started somewhere different in its own take, panned apart under one shared reverb. No music, no voice. The same three hours with the picture left in is on the channel under A Thunderstorm from a Porch. Ambience for sleep and rest — not medical or mental health advice. If you're struggling, please talk to a doctor or a qualified professional.
