AMAZING 1972 Montgomery Square Button Hydraulic Elevator at 4 Railroad Ave, Wakefield MA

(8.5.2026) Here's a fresh find for you all! I haven't personally seen one of these since the ones at Burlington mall were destroyed by Schindler. The majority of the other known square buttons in Massachusetts can be found in select Boston area MBTA stations and there's also another very similar one to this in a Hyde Park office building. This one runs beautifully and is in absolutely perfect condition! An interesting feature this elevator has is an indicator system that shows which floors are accessible and which are restricted by using small red and green LED lights above the floor lockout keyswitches. I'm not sure if this original to the elevator or if it was added later. The call panels on each floor also have similar lights however i'm uncertain of their purpose.
