📖 A PAGE DAILY | DAY 055 SURAH AL-IMRAN (3:38–45) The Family of Imran — Verses 38–45 📚 TAFSIR IBN KATHIR SUMMARY ✨ VERSE-BY-VERSE SUMMARY 1️⃣ VERSES 38–39 — THE PRAYER OF PROPHET ZAKARIYYA Prophet Zakariyya (Zechariah) prayed sincerely to Allah for a righteous child, even though he and his wife were old. Allah answered his prayer and gave him the glad tidings of Yahya (John), a noble and righteous prophet. 2️⃣ VERSE 40 — NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ALLAH Prophet Zakariyya wondered how he could have a son when he had reached old age and his wife was barren. Allah reminded him that He does whatever He wills. Nothing is difficult for the Creator. 3️⃣ VERSES 41–42 — REMEMBER ALLAH AND THE HONOR OF MARYAM Allah gave Zakariyya a sign that he would not speak to people for three days except through gestures, while remembering Allah frequently. Allah also declared that He had chosen and purified Maryam above the women of her time. 4️⃣ VERSES 43–44 — MARYAM’S DEVOTION AND ALLAH’S KNOWLEDGE Maryam was commanded to remain devoted to Allah through prayer, prostration, and worship. Allah revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ the story of Maryam and her guardianship, although he had not witnessed those events. This shows that the Qur’an is revelation from Allah. 5️⃣ VERSE 45 — THE GLAD TIDINGS OF ISA (JESUS) The angels gave Maryam the glad tidings of a Word from Allah: Isa (Jesus), the Messiah, who would be honored in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near to Allah. 🌙 TODAY’S REMINDER Never lose hope in Allah’s mercy. The prayer of Prophet Zakariyya teaches us to keep asking Allah, even when something seems impossible. Maryam’s story reminds us of the beauty of devotion, patience, and trust in Allah’s plan. 🤲 DU’A O Allah, accept our prayers, grant us righteous children and families, and strengthen our devotion to You.
