"Sometimes the simplest things bring back the strongest memories. This week, while I was in Shelton, Connecticut for training on our POS system, The Edge, I happened to come across the Wiffle Ball Company. That unexpected stop got me thinking about family businesses, childhood memories, and what it really means to carry a legacy forward. Wiffle Ball has been around for generations, and the company has remained family-owned even as opportunities came along to sell. That really stood out to me because, in its own way, it reminded me of our own family story in the jewelry business. Seeing the company also brought back memories of growing up, playing Wiffle Ball with my cousins when my Uncle Art would come up from Florida, and some of the adventures and misadventures of childhood in Michigan. As we continue celebrating 100 years of a family of jewelers, I’m realizing more and more that legacy is not just about business. It is about memories, family, traditions, and the simple things that somehow stay with us for a lifetime.
