Monastery Compline | Latin Chant for Sleep | Salva Nos & Nunc Dimittis | 10 Min

Today, 8 October, in the 27th week of Ordinary Time, monasteries sing Compline, the final office of the day. In the video, a candlelit cloister at night shows monks processing silently toward the chapel, their tapers casting flickering shadows. The chants are the hymn 'Te lucis ante terminum' (Before the ending of the light) and the Nunc Dimittis with the antiphon 'Salva nos' (Save us, O Lord). Use this chant for sleep, prayer, or meditation; let us know in the comments if it helps you enter the peace of Compline. #gregorianchant #sacredmusic #latinchant #christianmusic #catholic #psalms #monks #prayer #meditation #sanctumchants
