In Part 2 of this album cover build, I finish the cloth-covered cover by cutting the corners, gluing the turn-ins and adding the liner to the inside. In Part 1, I prepared the boards, punched the binding holes, cut the book cloth, glued the boards in place and marked the corners ready for finishing. I’m not a professional bookbinder, and this isn’t intended as formal instruction. I’m simply sharing the method I use to make covers for my own stamp albums. In this video I: Cut the marked corner sections Glue and fold the turn-ins Finish the corners Add the inside liner Complete the cloth-covered album cover Chapters 0:00 Start 0:30 Step 6 — Cut the corners 2:34 Step 7 — Glue the turn-ins 11:29 Step 8 — Glue the liner 16:56 Closing The finished cover uses a flexible hinge and screw-post binding, allowing the album pages to be removed, rearranged or added later. This is part of my Stamps by Design project, where I design and build albums for my own stamp collection and share the process along the way.
