Help me improve these play-alongs!
What worked for you when you played along? What didn't? What ideas do you have to make this better to practice with?
I started these videos after seeing how much it helped my students when I mirrored what they needed to play. I want these play-alongs to give drummers and drum students a clear way to practice on their own. I read your feedback and use it to improve the next videos. Thanks for helping me get it right.
Play along with the Triple Paradiddle from 20 to 200 BPM in this mirror view ramp. Stay with the drummer as the tempo rises and keep every accent on the downbeat.
Play R L R L R L R R, then L R L R L R L L, as straight eighth notes in 4/4. Each group is six alternating singles and one double, one full bar per lead. Accent the first note of each group and keep the other seven notes low and even, so the lead changes hands every bar.
