Slow Skiing in Åre | Sweden’s Longest Ski Run on a Perfect Sunny Day

Join me for a long run of slow skiing on Långsvängen in Åre, Sweden’s longest ski run. The full Långsvängen is around 6.5 km long, winding its way down Åreskutan from the mountain towards the village. This video shows only part of it – and definitely not at racing speed. For experienced skiers, Långsvängen is often more of a transport route between Åre’s steeper and more exciting slopes. But I think that misses some of its charm. On a sunny day like this, with hardly anyone else on the piste, it’s a beautiful place to slow down and enjoy the mountains, snow and views. Sometimes taking the easy way down is the best way to experience the mountain.
