Santa Fe Culvert Capture: Gilbert & Elliott Manhunt | The FBI Files | S4 E3

A quiet Ohio town. A missing widow. Then bodies start turning up across state lines. This is the frantic, seven-day chase to stop Louis Gilbert and 16-year-old Eric Elliott. From the late-night abduction of 79-year-old Ruth Loader in Port Washington, Ohio, to a double homicide near Fulton, Missouri, and a shocking discovery by Draper Lake, the timeline tightens as the FBI follows a trail of stolen cars, .22 rounds, and a strangely familiar green soda bottle. Hear how a sandwich wrapper, a pawn shop tape, and a highway hitchhiking tip shift the case. And why one bedspread matters more than it seems. With every hour, the stakes rise: NCIC alerts flood the nation, families brace for news, and agents try to think one step ahead. The ending reveals where the hunt finally closes in and the question that still haunts investigators and a family to this day. Watch the full story to see how the pieces connect and what crucial answer remains missing. #TheFBIFiles #TrueCrime #FBI #Manhunt #ColdCase #1994 #Documentary
