Berserk 1997 Episode 11 Reaction! Watching Berserk S1E11 “The Battle” for the first time - and the relationship between Guts and Casca is starting to change in a major way. In Berserk Episode 11, Griffith and the Band of the Hawk march into another major battle, this time facing the Blue Whale Knights. While the Hawks fight on the battlefield, Casca is clearly struggling physically but refuses to back down. Casca confronts Adon Coborlwitz, but her condition continues to get worse. When she loses consciousness and falls from a cliff, Guts immediately goes after her, sending both of them crashing into the river below and separating them from the rest of the Band of the Hawk. Guts eventually manages to get Casca to safety inside a cave, where he realizes just how serious her condition is. With both of them soaked and alone far away from the others, Guts has to keep Casca warm and protect her until she recovers. After everything that has happened between Guts, Griffith and Casca, this episode begins putting Guts and Casca alone together and setting up a much deeper look at their relationship. This is my first time watching Berserk 1997, so this is a completely blind reaction to Berserk Episode 11 “The Battle.” The battle against the Blue Whale Knights, Casca pushing herself too far, Guts jumping after her and the two of them becoming separated from the Hawks made this episode a huge turning point.
