This ninth presentation looks at gateways through which people can discover the Christian faith. After two opening sections considering the limits of proof and the apologetic importance of the scientific idea of the ‘best explanation’, we move on to look at four ‘clues’ that can be used in apologetic conversations, sermons, and lectures. These are: Morality, focussing on our longing for justice; Desire, focussing on what seems to be a human homing instinct for God; Beauty, which focusses on the human response to the splendour and complexity of the natural world; and finally, Relationality, in which we focus on the personal and existential importance of knowing God as a Person. Finally, we consider how these (and other) clues can be woven together to disclose a bigger pattern, which makes sense of things.
