Apologetics 11: Christianity and the Meaning of Life

This lecture deals with Christianity’s remarkable ability to make sense of life, and offer a framework for authentic living in an often puzzling and confusing world. The lecture opens with reflecting on how we are to understand the notion of “meaning” in life, and then moves on to look at how idea of meaning are linked with an informing “big picture” of life. The main section of the lecture then explores how Christian apologetics engages four core components of meaning: The question of identity (Who am I?), agency (can I make a difference?); value (do I really matter?); and purpose (Why am I here?)
