The Last Dawn

At the end of the journey, the traveler reached the edge of the world. Behind him were the ruins of everything he had known. Ahead of him was the horizon. The night was ending. For a moment, he thought this was the final dawn. Then the first light appeared. The same Sun that had disappeared thousands of years ago was rising again. He remembered the earth. The gates. The dead. The labyrinth. The eternal fire. The storm. The fallen empire. Everything had been part of the same journey. Nothing had truly ended. The traveler looked toward the rising Sun and finally understood the oldest truth of all: There is no beginning without an ending. There is no death without transformation. There is no darkness without the possibility of light. The cycle was never broken. It was only waiting to begin again.
