Seven Gates of Inanna

Beyond the world of the living stood seven gates. Behind them waited the kingdom of darkness. A traveler entered the first gate carrying everything he believed made him powerful. At the second, he surrendered his crown. At the third, his weapons. At the fourth, his wealth. At the fifth, his name. At the sixth, his memories. At the seventh, he had nothing left. Not even himself. There, in the silence beneath the earth, he finally understood the secret the living refused to accept: Everything the human mind calls “mine” is temporary. Power disappears. Beauty fades. Names are forgotten. Empires become dust. The traveler stood in darkness without a title, without possessions, without identity. And for the first time, he was free.
