Sometimes you want that middle ground - a miniature you can put on the table that's reasonably nicely painted, but without taking a month of Sundays to get them finished. Pick something that you want to look the business, and let the rest be background to that; I like to have faces front and center on my figures, but it can as easily be a cape or cloak, a neat shield, or anything else you're good at and enjoy painting across a warband.
