This adventure took us deep into Tasmania’s Wild West, where rugged landscapes, epic hikes, and remote camping made for an unforgettable journey!
Ben Lomond & Jacob’s Ladder – Tackling one of Australia’s craziest mountain roads in our van!
-Montezuma Falls – A lush rainforest hike to Tasmania’s tallest waterfall.
Corinna is a remote wilderness retreat in the takayna/Tarkine rainforest, rich in Aboriginal and gold rush history. Once a bustling mining town, it’s now a haven for nature lovers. The only access is via the Fatman Barge, which crosses the Pieman River daily. Summer hours: 9 AM – 7 PM; Winter hours: 9 AM – 5 PM ($28 per vehicle). Don’t miss the Pieman River Cruise aboard the historic Arcadia II (10 AM – 2:30 PM). A must-visit for those exploring Tasmania’s rugged west coast!
-Huon Pine Forest – Crossing a wild river to reach some of the oldest trees on Earth.
