For this fourth episode in our series on AI in Education, I invited Jiashi Wang and Anying Wang to join me for a conversation. They are both English language instructors at the English Language Centre at XJTLU. This is a University with a strategic aim to embed AI across all courses which is why I was interested in learning more about how AI is reshaping their practice as instructors and language teachers. Jiashi WANG (王佳石)  Jiashi Wang has been working in the education industry, particularly in higher education, for almost 10 years, with 6 years' experience in teaching EAP. She is now an EAP instructor and the Module Leader for the Y1 Advanced module at the ELC in XJTLU, as well as an accredited Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). Her research interests lie primarily in curriculum design, technology-assisted teaching, and student engagement. Anying WANG (王岸瑛) Anying has earned dual master's degrees, one in TESOL and the other in International Trade and Logistics. She has been honoured as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) in the UK. Presently, she serves as a senior EAP lecturer and leads an advanced EAP module in Year 2 at XJTLU's English Language Centre, where she has devoted more than ten years of service. Her research interests span various areas, including motivating reluctant students to participate in communication within an EAP classroom, developing EAP curricula tailored to the needs of advanced students from diverse fields, strategies for vocabulary acquisition, and investigating the differences between native and non-nativeEnglish-speaking (NES/NNES) instructors.
