"Almost" Betty Crocker's 1973 Coffee Cake

Making a slightly modified version of Betty Crocker's 1973 Coffee Cake. Grease a 9x9 square baking dish. Preheat oven to 350F. In small bowl, mix with fork: 3/4 cup brown sugar (see my shorts for recipe) 2 teaspoons cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice 3-4 Tablespoons melted butter Set aside. In medium bowl, beat: 4 Tablespoons melted butter 1 egg 3/4 cup sugar Stir in: 1/2 cup milk or buttermilk (see my shorts for recipe) Add in: 3/4 cup whole grain flour 3/4 cup plain flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons baking powder Mix until combined. Pour into prepared pan. Sprinkle with topping. Bake 30-35 minutes at 350F until tests done. Let cool a few minutes before cutting! --- Disclaimer: I am not a professional chef and I do not have a professional kitchen.
